Muskego is a city of about 25,000 residents in southeastern Waukesha County, about 20 miles southwest of downtown Milwaukee. It's known for its lakes: Little Muskego Lake, lined with homes and popular for boating and fishing, with Idle Isle Park on its shore, and the larger Big Muskego Lake, a shallow, marshy lake that is a haven for wildlife.
